TV ONE NAMES NEW WESTERN REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
Mark Dauer takes charge left of the Mississippi
ERLANGER, KY, June 1, 2005 -- TV One VP Dan Gibson announced today that Mark Dauer has been appointed to serve as the company's new Western Regional Sales Manager. Working closely with TV One's network of independent sales representatives throughout the region, Dauer will oversee the launch of a series of new products in coming months, and serve as point man in meeting long-range strategic goals.
"I speak for everyone here when I say we are extremely glad to have Mark onboard," Gibson said shortly after making the news public knowledge. "The sum of his experience makes him a perfect candidate for the job. We couldn't have custom-ordered anyone better for managing the tasks at hands."
A native of Columbus, OH, Dauer attended Miami University in Oxford, OH, where he majored in electrical engineering and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science. Moving on to fulfill engineering roles at TV stations in Oxford and Cincinnati before serving as director of engineering for WDRB-TV in Louisville, Dauer also spent eight years with Midwest Communications Corporation, where he ultimately became district sales manager for Kentucky and Tennessee. Just prior to accepting his new position at TV One, he was an engineer at WHAS-TV in Louisville, where he spearheaded the station's move to digital newsroom editing.
"Coming to TV One represents a new milestone in my career," Dauer said upon reporting for his first day of work.
