CSC-1100A and CSC-1100A/RS Video Scalers

CSC-1100A is a high-performance, low-cost Video Scaler to transform Composite or S-Video into standard RGBHV computer signals at VGA, SVGA or XGA resolutions. It also has a 16:9 output at 480p in RGBHV or YpBpR. It is ideally suited for use with LCD Projectors, CRT Monitors, Projection TV Systems, Plasma or HDTV Displays to improve picture quality. The output resolution is selectable between 640x480, 800x600, 852x480 and 1024x768. Adjustments are provided for Horizontal and Vertical Phase, Color, Hue, Brightness, Contrast and Sharpness. There is also a computer signal pass-through feature and a front panel control to select the source.

CSC-1100A's Adaptive Film Mode is an automatic 3:2 pull-down detector that provides clear and crisp de-interlacing video from 24 fps film. It offers significant enhancements when viewing movies on a large screen. A Vertical Temporal Filter removes jagged edges and other de-interlacing artifacts for video motion sequences. A simple field merging technique performs de-interlacing, which is very beneficial for static images or scenes with very little or no motion. The unit automatically detects a variety of NTSC, PAL or SECAM input standards. It is available in Desktop and Rackmount versions.

CSC-1100A/RS has all the features of the CSC-1100A plus an RS-232 interface for ease of systems integration. The Operations Manual contains a complete set of commands to facilitate development of custom control schemes. Windows Control Panel software is provided.
