To work as part of a small flexible embedded systems design team located in Kent, primarily focused on High Definition video conversion systems based around our proprietary CORIO® technology.

Primarily responsible for the design of user interfaces and applications on windows platforms for our range of video products.

Production of design concept documentation and continuous code documentation linked with peer reviews.

Participation in design reviews, and to assist in ensuring that project targets with regard to cost and timelines are met.

A numerate degree with several years of graphical user interface design.

Proven experience of graphical user interface design based around video technology and ideally several years experience in the video industry.

SKILLS

• Fluent in Visual studio C# / Visual Basic.
• Good understanding of a graphical design tool i.e. Adobe Photoshop to aid in interface design.
• Experience of multitasking and delegate events.
• Experience of designing GUI’s with timeline functionality.
• Understanding of modular design techniques.
• Knowledge of serial and Ethernet control methods for the control of external hardware.

Ability to work solo or in small teams to create creative solutions for controlling video products.

Ability to discuss ideas and develop solutions with other members of the R&D team.

Experience of complete design cycle from concept to qualification and production release, including test and product qualification. Awareness of quality standards associated with software design.
