CORIOmaster drives Georgetown University’s new Washington, DC Studio
The new Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies building, in downtown DC, includes a full-HD broadcast studio for student, faculty and outside use. The studio features a set backdrop consisting of six 84" LG LCD displays, plus an additional 60" display to the side. All the on-set displays are driven by a CORIOmaster C3-540 using HDBaseT extension. Sources to the CORIOmaster include sends from the facility's SDI router, sends from an HDMI router, and two Brightsign players for graphic images. Real-time configuration of the display wall is controlled by CORIOgrapher software running on a PC accessed from the control room.
The studio technical design and installation was provided by Lab Tech Systems, with set design by GA Designs and lighting by the Lighting Design Group. Set construction, which included custom mounts for the displays and integration of on-set lighting, was by Gotham Scenic.
