Success Story - Scharff Weisberg

Scharff Weisberg and TV One Team up for Theatrical Success

Scharff Weisberg Inc., a provider of Audio, Video and Lighting to the corporate, artistic and theatrical communities, were the integrators for the most recent install of two TV One C2-2355A Universal Switcher/Scalers in the Broadway theatrical productions of "Wonderland" and "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown."

The production "Wonderland" puts a modern spin on the classic story of "Alice in Wonderland." A woman goes below the streets of New York City, and with the help of some familiar characters, once again, comes to realize what is truly most important in life. For this theater production, the C2-2355A is used to convert the DVI output of a media server, the Coolux Pandoras Box, and scales it to the proper resolution of an LED video wall processor.

"Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown," which also uses the C2-2355A in its musical production, is based originally off the once popular film. It's a story about the trials and tribulations of women and the men who need them, love them, reject them and, of course, leave them. In this production, the C2-2355A is used to convert the DVI output of a Coolux Pandoras media server to SDI to feed a video matrix.

The TV One C2-2355A was selected for these two projects due to its Up/Down/Cross-Conversion capabilities, which are extremely beneficial in theatrical productions. Barry J. Grossman, of Scharff Weisberg, states, "The TV One C2-2355A allows Scharff Weisberg to provide cost effective format conversion and scaling solutions for our clients."

The C2-2355A Universal Video Switcher/Scaler is based on TV One's exclusive CORIO® technology, and provides a high quality, bi-directional conversion between a variety of formats. This is what separates TV One products from the competition, as they continue to distribute technology that, in this particular case, is able to showcase the brilliance of these legendary productions.
